El Arenal is at the east end of the 6 km Playa de Palma. Known for its bars and clubs, El Arenal is more of a party destionation most popular with young travelers. A flat promenade and a mini-train connect El Arenal with the other resorts along the beach, and getting into Palma is easy with public transport.
